ZIM – Funding advice
The BMWi‘s Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM) is designed to promote the innovative strength and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the long term. Important: it is a funding programme open to technologies and sectors without a specific technological focus. Its aim is to link SMEs more closely with research institutions in order to achieve a faster and more tailored transfer and to support companies in developing innovations.

Sustainability consulting
Facts and figures from an ecological, economic and social point of view are the basis of sustainability consulting, on the basis of which we consider technologies ‘for good’, develop solutions and drive concepts forward. Our systemic approach means that we take a very broad view with our services, ask questions that seem to have nothing to do with the core topic and express ideas that sometimes sound crazy at first glance. And we listen a lot, because most solutions already exist, they just have to be combined and used in the right way.

Systems Design
From vision to implementation, a prototype or pilot project is needed to test new approaches. With our systems design approach we develop both the development of a single product and the conceptual design of new approaches from urban farming to industrial systems.
In our view, the question of the appropriate business model is also of elementary importance, which can be very diverse depending on the market environment, target group and the players involved. Systems Design also includes the right legal form for a systemic business model. From cooperatives to public limited companies, we have already designed all possible legal forms and supported them during the founding process.

Regional development
As systems designers, we also enjoy working in regional development, where we can look at a wide range of elements from energy and mobility to buildings, water, food, infrastructure and tourism, and take them into account in the development of solutions. Here, implementation is always carried out with the participation of citizens, who are often intensively involved.
Therefore, in the course of our consultancy, we offer to any interested party, whether from politics, civil society or business, to be involved in our process of solution development (in the case of companies, of course, by arrangement, although we recommend openness). We provide an overview of the possibilities that the Cascading Economy can offer, hold discussions with all interest groups, outline initial ideas and point out potential. This process usually begins with a workshop and is accompanied by ongoing one-on-one discussions. We conduct the talks in an open personal dialogue. The results of our projects are therefore not only hard facts and packages of measures – but also a common vision.
Finally, implementation also requires financial resources. We identify funding programs and financing opportunities that are appropriate for the project in question.
